Don’t be afraid to sing! Monday 2nd September, 2pm- 5pm (latest). The Studio, Mansfield Central Library, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
A session for all those working with older people in care and residential settings. Singing has many health benefits: it can help to combat loneliness and isolation, and stimulates memory. Singing together can help mental and physical co-ordination. It can also provide a social activity within the residential home setting. This session, led by experienced community choir leader, Angela Warren, will enable participants to try out activities that could take place in residential homes – activities that can be shared on a one to one basis or as group work.
Everyone can sing- come and have fun, and take song sheets and ideas away with you to try out in your own residential or care settings. Don’t be afraid to sing – we’d love to hear you. To find out more and to book a place: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/7593828345/
