NLCF Leading Learning Programme 2012/13

The Leading Learning Programme is now recruiting for its successful fifth year
September 10 to November 21, early bird discounts for applications by Nov 7.
The National Leisure and Culture Forum sponsored Leading Learning Programme is the only yearlong leadership development programme specifically tailored to the needs of management across the leisure and culture sector.  It offers excellent value for money and a wide ranging programme of inputs to suit individual learning styles – these include a 360 degree appraisal with one to one feedback sessions, residential workshops, presentations from successful chief executives, action learning sets, web based material and mentoring relationships with established leaders in the field.

Originally designed for senior managers working across the range of culture, heritage, leisure and sport in local authorities it has also proved to be really challenging and useful to participants from leisure and culture trusts, independent museums, arts organisations and sporting bodies.

If you want to survive and thrive in the current difficult financial and ideological climate, if you want to build the resilience of your team, if you want to challenge yourself and forward your career, if you want to be on the front foot rather than the back, then this is the Programme for you.

Over 80 people have now experienced the Programme. Representative feedback includes

“I really did think it was excellent – exactly what I was looking for from a course.”

‘It has developed my skills and confidence as a leader. The mentoring was both practical and inspirational, giving me an opportunity to develop strategies to tackle challenging problems and put them into practice.”

More information and application forms are available from the Director of the Programme, Sue Isherwood –; Tel 01749871110 or 07919 540803 or visit
